Pak Choi sesame, soy, garlic and ginger

Updated: Jan 7, 2021

  • 3 small Pak choi

  • 1 clove Garlic

  • 5g Ginger

  • 2 tsp Méline’s chilli sauce

  • 5ml Sesame oil

  • 5ml Soy sauce

  • 5ml. Mélines Sichuan oil

  • Sesame seeds

Slice the pak choi into four quarters.

Place them into a hot pan with a little sesame oil face side down, cover with baking parchment, or a lid and turn the heat down low.

Leave to cook slowly for a good 10 mins, adding a tiny bit of water when needed.

(This cools down the pan and stops it burning, but you do want a little caramelisation)

Whilst the pak choi are cooking you can make the dressing.

For the dressing grate the garlic and ginger into a bowl, add the chilli sauce, sesame oil and soy sauce.

Mix all ingredients together well,

Put a couple of teaspoons of the dressing onto each of the pak choi quarters.

Take them out of the pan and turning them over at the same time.

Pour the rest of the dressing all over them.

Drizzle a little Sichuan oil over them to get a little heat or just sesame oil if you like.

Now you are ready to serve, best eaten straight away.
